Předpřítomný čas v oznamovací větě tvoříme Zájmenem + sloveso to have + trpné příčestí významového slovesa (3. tvar).

Používáme ho, když mluvíme o ... :

  • ... výsledcích minulého děje, které jsou zřejmé v přítomnosti.
    He can't play tennis: he's broken his arm.
  • ... našich dosavadních zkušenostech.
    I've visited all of the countries in Europe.
  • ... nedávné minulosti.
    I've just heard a great song.

Zkrátka, když děj, který začal v milulosti, pokračuje do současnosti.
He's opened the window. (otevřel okno, ale ještě ho nezavřel)

for

Předpřítomný čas s předložkou for vyjadřuje jak dlouho již daný děj, který začal v minulosti, probíhá:
Sarah has been a teacher for ten years.

since

Předpřítomný čas s předložkou since vyjadřuje odkdy uřitý děj, který ještě neskončit, probíhá:
We have lived here since 1997.
